The frame is crafted with the fluid, sinuous lines typical of the mid – 18th century. The Backrest: It features a "cabriolet" (curved) back with a molded frame that follows a violin shape. The wood is intricately carved with a continuous floral and leaf motif. At the very top, the crest rail is crowned with a hand – carved floral spray, acting as a focal point.
